I cannot express how much I love Wizer. I think it's the best thing that's happened in regards to formative assessment in years! I know we have Google Classroom and Moodle and Canvas, yadda yadda yadda. But this site works with all of those. You can link your assessment or embed it. And, if you have Google Classroom, you can also send your Wizer worksheet directly to your classroom. Here's Wizer's YouTube channel for tutorial videos. How it works: Go to https://app.wizer.me and click on "Create New Worksheet" then select your template. There are tons to choose from and they're all fun. You can even adjust the color scheme, font, etc once you've selected your template. They're all on the right hand side of your worksheet. Once you've selected what you want your worksheet to look like, then you can begin to incorporate your assessments. They're all self explanatory for the most part. They've done some updates to some of the assessment options, so I've linked those here. One of my favorite question/assessment options is "Fill in on Image" because you can convert any PDF or Word document you have to a .jpg and have your students fill in the answers on Wizer AND IT GRADES IT FOR YOU! How amazing is that? Talk about getting hours back of your life! WooHoo! Two other ones that I'm excited about are "Draw" and "Sort". Draw is fantastic for Math or Science especially because you can have kids work out problems, draw what they're thinking, etc. You can have something drawn that they add to or have a blank canvas with instructions. Sort is just what it sounds like: putting things into categories. This is great when kids are sorting things like reasons that the North vs. South went to war or acids vs. bases in Science. When you get all of your questions put onto your Wizer worksheet, you're ready to assign it to your students. You'll type the class and then it gives you options for embedding it, sending it as a link, pushing it to Google Classroom, etc. Look at the tutorial videos I linked earlier in this post for more help. After you do that, you'll click on "Answers" to view your students' responses and you can then change anything from "incorrect" to "correct" just by changing the number. You can "like" certain answers and you can also give feedback! To share your Worksheet with other teachers, click "Share with Teachers" and choose the option best for you. You can also put your worksheet in folders and then share those folders with fellow teachers. Here is a link that explains the folder option and gives suggestions on how you can use it. You can also search other teachers' worksheets by going to the Gallery and filtering by age and subject. Try Wizer out and let me know what you think!
